Portugal 0 Spain 0 (aet, 2-4 on pens): Fabregas hits winning spot-kick as holders squeeze through to final

Cesc Fabregas sent Spain through to the European Championship final with the winning penalty in a shootout after the holders were frustrated by a dogged Portugal side for 120 minutes.

The match failed to live up to its billing, with Paulo Bento's side having the better of the game in the first half. Spain improved as the match wore on but the Portuguese continued to be resolute in defence, and it took until the first half of extra time until the game's first clear-cut chance.

Rui Patricio saved brilliantly from Andres Iniesta, who really should have scored when Jordi Alba's cut-back found him unmarked eight yards out.

Ear-flicking! Drink-spitting! Shoe-tying fail! Balotelli's maddest Euro 2012 moments

Here's Italy in training for their semi-final with Germany, having dispatched England in the quarters . All seems calm at first as the Azzuri do some volley work. But then they break out into an unusual routine - the ritual flicking of Balotelli's ears...
Is there a case for workplace bullying building here? After all, this clip shows someone obviously having spiked Balo's drink...
Then there's this moment with Thiago Motta at the national side's photocall...
And, of course, we had the famous incident in which Leonardo Bonucci covered Mario's mouth while he was shouting something after scoring against Ireland (fast forward past the laughing Dutch people to watch)...
All of which has left Mario so confused in training that he can barely tie his own shoes...
But, unlike Italy v England, it's not been all one-way traffic. Here's our hero teaming up with Di Natale to play a prank on Cassano...
And say what you like about him - this is the most rigorous simulation of an impeding semi that we've ever seen...
